We have recruited two farm interns for the 2012 season.  Most interns access us through WWOOF (http://www.wwoofusa.org/) and ATTRA.  Private accommodation is provided in a recently renovated adobe farmhouse (see TR’s in the Photos section) adjacent to the main house.  Stipend provided.  WiFi access on the covered portal of the main house.  Laundry facilities on site.  A short walk to a wooded area (bosque) of TdG Farm on the Embudo River.  Check out Emily Bregel’s blog on a season as an intern at Talon de Gato Farm.  View a video of the 2011 Intern Appreciation Day party and Emily potting up strawberry plants.

TdG Farm is located in the village of Apodaca on the upriver edge of Dixon.  Dixon offers a  natural food store, a restaurant (Zuly’s Café), a library, and a post office.  Another excellent restaurant, Sugar Nymphs Bistro, is a few miles up the road in Peñasco.  Half-an-hour drive to restaurants, pubs, and movie theaters in Taos; one hour to Santa Fe.  Both accessible by a free regional bus service.  Great microbrewery (Blue Heron) in nearby Rinconada affiliated with La Chiripada winery in Dixon; Saturday evening Happy Hour - frequent musical guests: Mule Britches, The Pathetics, Delta Blues featuring Raven Redfox & James T. Baker, John Sena, Richard Martin and others.  Local theater company (Dixon Community Players) and many events & fiestas.  Keep your finger on the pulse of Dixon life at Jeff Spicer’s blogsite Dixon Dallies.
