It’s April in Apodaca. There’s water in La Acequia de Apodaca and the Rio Embudo is flowing with spring runoff from the mountains. It has been unseasonably warm. The apricot, pear and plum trees are in full bloom and the apple trees all have plump flower buds. We are harvesting wild asparagus and spinach. Lots of lettuce out in the field and looking good. We have been joined by one farm intern (Shane) and a second arrives soon (Adrienne).
